Your journey to the right franchise made simple.

The Franchise Game Plan

Owning a franchise is like running the bases in baseball. Each step brings you closer to scoring — becoming a franchise owner.

1

Home Plate — Getting Started

You’ve stepped up to the plate and decided to explore franchise ownership. Taking that first swing means you’re ready to see what opportunities are out there.

2

1st Base — Candidate Discovery

We learn about you:

  • Industry interests (examples: home services, health, senior care, food, pet, real estate)
  • Ownership style (owner-operator or semi-absentee)
  • Business type (B2B or B2C, retail, light industrial, home-based, or office)
  • Personality fit (introvert or extrovert)

This gives us the blueprint for your ideal franchise.

3

2nd Base — Learn the Business Model & Review the FDD

We take your criteria and match it to hundreds of franchise brands. From there, we create a short list and connect you with franchisors so you can:

  • Learn how the business model concept works
  • Review the FDD (Franchise Disclosure Document)
  • Understand territory size & royalties
  • Review Item 7: startup investment range
  • Review Item 19: franchisee earnings (financial performance)

This step helps you clearly understand how the concept operates and what the financials look like before moving forward.

4

3rd Base — Work in the Business

Here’s where you roll up your sleeves and spend time in the business. You’ll work alongside an existing franchisee for a day or two to see the day-to-day operations firsthand.

If a franchise company will not allow my clients to do this step, I won’t work with them — because if they’re hiding the reality of the business, that’s a major red flag. Transparency matters.

5

4th Base — Legal & Financial Review

The final step before scoring:

  • Have the FDD reviewed by a franchise attorney
  • Speak with lenders (SBA, ROBS, or other funding options)
  • Finalize your financing plan

Once complete, you cross home plate — you’ve scored! You’re officially a franchise owner and ready to celebrate your journey.

The Franchise Game Plan keeps the process simple, transparent, and structured — so you can move confidently toward ownership.

If a franchise company will not allow my clients to do this step, I won’t work with them — because if they’re hiding the reality of the business, that’s a major red flag. Transparency matters.
