This policy explains what information this site collects, why, who it goes to, and what you can do about it. What Franchise To Buy is operated by Gabriel Arechiga, a franchise consultant based in Brentwood, California, working as a partner with The Franchise Consulting Company.

Information you give me
- Contact details. Your name, email address and phone number, when you book a call, request the Franchise Buyer’s Guide, use the contact form, or start the Franchise Fit Assessment or Franchise Quiz.
- Assessment and quiz answers, what you tell me about your goals, investment range, preferred ownership model, industry interests and timeline. This is the substance of the work; it is how a recommendation gets made.
- Anything else you choose to share in conversation, by email, or on a call.
What I never ask for through this website: your Social Security number, bank or brokerage account numbers, or images of government identification. Please don’t send those here. If a lender needs financial documentation later in the process, you will give it to them directly through their own secure system, not through me and not through this site.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records your IP address, browser and device type, the page that referred you, which pages you view and how long you stay. This happens through cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies and tracking

- Meta (Facebook) Pixel, measures advertising performance and may be used to show you ads on Meta platforms.

How your information is used
- To reply to you and schedule your call.
- To send the Franchise Buyer’s Guide and produce your assessment results.
- To identify and present franchise brands that fit what you described.
- To connect you with funding sources or a franchise attorney when you ask me to.
- To follow up with you about your franchise search.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To meet legal, tax and recordkeeping obligations.
Who your information goes to
Most privacy policies bury this section. Here it is plainly.
Franchisors and franchise brands
When you and I agree that a specific brand is worth exploring, I introduce you to that brand. That introduction includes your name, contact details and the parts of your profile relevant to their evaluation. This happens only with your knowledge and agreement, brand by brand. I do not send your information to companies you have not agreed to look at, and I do not distribute your details to a list of franchisors to see who bites.
How I am paid, and why that matters here
When someone I introduced buys a franchise, the franchisor pays a referral fee. You pay me nothing at any point. That arrangement is why your introduction has value to a brand, so it belongs in a privacy policy and not only in a FAQ. You should weigh it when you consider my recommendations, and you should ask me about it directly.
Service providers
Companies that process information on my behalf, under contract, to run this business: GoHighLevel (client records, scheduling and email), Google (site analytics), Meta (advertising), Tally (quiz forms), and my website host and email provider.
Funding sources and professional referrals
Lenders, ROBS and 401(k) rollover providers, franchise attorneys and accountants, only when you ask for the introduction.
Legal requirements
If required by law, subpoena or valid legal process, or to protect legal rights and safety.
I do not sell your personal information for money. Under California law, using advertising cookies can count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of that, see the next section.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information has been collected about you, where it came from, why, and who it was disclosed to.
- Delete the personal information held about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including for targeted advertising.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Exercising them will not change the service you get from me, which is free either way.
To exercise any of these, email gabriel@thefranchiseconsultingcompany.com or call 925-705-0193 and say what you want done. I will verify that the request is really coming from you, and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission.
This site honors Global Privacy Control browser signals as a valid opt-out of sharing.
Calls and text messages
If you give me your phone number, you agree that I may call or text you about your franchise search. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of getting the free consultation.
How long information is kept
Inquiry and assessment records are kept for as long as we are working together and afterwards for as long as needed for legal and tax purposes, generally no more than seven years. Ask me to delete your information sooner and I will, unless I am required to keep it.
Security
I use reasonable safeguards to protect the information I hold. No website or system is perfectly secure, and I will not claim otherwise.
Children
This site is meant for adults considering business ownership. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Links to other sites
This site links to franchisor sites, lenders and other third parties. Their privacy practices are their own, and I am not responsible for them. Read their policies before giving them information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
